Move PubStudio Pro to a new PC

Each Pro licence works on one PC at a time, and online in up to 5 browsers as well. Moving it takes a minute, and your subscription carries on as it is.

How do I move my licence?

1. On the old PC, open File > Account and choose Deactivate on this PC (to move your licence). PubStudio there goes back to the free version, and everything you made still opens.
2. Copy your publications across. They're ordinary .pubx files, so copy them the way you'd copy any file, for example with a USB stick or your cloud storage.
3. Install PubStudio on the new PC from the Microsoft Store.
4. On the new PC, open File > Account, paste your key into Enter licence key and choose Activate. Pro unlocks right away.

Deactivating doesn't cancel your subscription. To change your card or cancel, see Account.

The old PC is broken, sold or gone

Write to [email protected] from the email you bought with, and we'll free your licence so you can activate it on the new PC.

Where's my licence key?

It's on the thank-you page you saw right after buying, and wherever you saved it from there. If you can't find it, write to us from the email you bought with and we'll send it again.
